Copper is one of the most classic and elegant metals, we use it in jewelry, tableware, and even in home decor.
Rusting and fading ruins a lot of its appearance, and make it awkward to see, but after you figure out how to polish brass, it will restore its original appearance as if it was just made.
The methods I will mention to you are natural, and I do not advise you to use commercial polishes; Because it contains harmful chemicals.
1. Polishing copper using lemon and salt
- Mix the juice of half a lemon, or the size of the piece of copper you want to polish, with a pinch of salt.
- After the mixture becomes dough-like, apply it to the dark areas of the copper piece.
- Leave it a reasonable time; to wipe the stain.
- While removing the dough, gently rub your copper piece.
- Then rinse the copper from the dough residue using warm water.
- Dry it immediately after rinsing with a soft cloth or eyeglass tissue.
2. Polishing copper with flour, salt, and vinegar
- In a mixing bowl, place equal amounts of flour and salt.
- Gradually add vinegar to them, until you get a creamy texture.
- Then, using a soft cloth, rub the paste on the copper.
- Rinse the copper from the dough residue using warm water.
- Dry it immediately after rinsing with a soft cloth or eyeglass tissue.
